It is recommended to be getting massaged at least once every three weeks (or every two) to help aid in healthy tissue repair and reduce pain felt from the intensive workouts that the body is going through. Massage will also help with the accumulation of work-related stress.

To help address a particular problem, whether emotional or physical, I recommend an aromatherapy massage on a weekly or fortnightly basis for 6 to 8 weeks to really allow the essential oils to do their work and for the physical effects of the massage and the relaxation to take effect.

It takes a good 48 hours for the system to rebalance after a deep massage, so at least a two day gap between massages is ideal. The frequency of sports massage is dependent on ones training schedule, however regular massage can help to maintain range of movement, flexibility and health of muscles.
